THROUGH THE FRAME

Hazel, a 30-year-old struggling painter, stumbles upon a place called the Museum of Possibilities where, in exchange for drawings from her sketchbook, she gets to jump through the frame and see different versions of what her life could be.

A new musical by Alexis Kesselman and Jake Weinstein currently being developed at Berklee NYC Power Station studios.

THE BEST YEARS

Is college really the best four years of your life? That’s what everyone tells you…so you set up these big expectations like all your problems will go away the second you step onto that campus. Four years of a new, reinvented you, your highest high until it all goes downhill.

A new musical by Alexis Kesselman and Rachel Ohnsman.

Selected as one of fourteen songwriters to participate in the 2016 Johnny Mercer Songwriter's Project at Northwestern University, Alexis worked with notable songwriters and playwrights Andrew Lippa, Craig Carnelia, and the late Lari White. It was during this workshop that Alexis realized she wanted to compose for theater.

Alexis, with collaborator Rachel Ohnsman, embarked upon her first original musical titled “The Best Years.” In May of 2019, the team held their first public reading of the show’s first act with a full cast from the University of Miami Theater Department, guided by industry veteran Michael Bush.

Alexis is currently collaborating with Jake Weinstein on a new, exciting musical called “Through The Frame,” which will have its first presentation at Power Station Studios in New York City.

Alexis is currently receiving her Masters in Theater Writing and Design at Berklee NYC. She is always looking to meet and collaborate with playwrights, directors and other creatives on new and exciting projects.
